Project Management in ICT, and in particular software development, has attracted a lot of interest and discussion since the beginning of time, aka the start of the computing industry.

Methodologies come into fashion, and attract lots of focus and enthusiastic devotees, sometimes more than they deserve, and the body of work that has lead to the development of several rigorous and successful project management techniques goes ‘out the window’.

A review of the range of project management techniques and technologies might prove useful.
